Enzymes --the catalysts that drive our digestive, nutritional process.

Digestive Enzymes

They are catalysts that reside in the mouth, stomach, duodenum and small intestine ( the digestive tract).

How do they work?

These biological catalysts speed the rate of biochemical reactions without altering the direction or nature of the reaction. They can accelerate reactions that might not occur without their assistance. In short, no catalysts -- no digestion--no nutrition and this leads to malnutrition and disease. Our cells operate through biochemical reactions and communications. The nutrients for our cells are extracted from our food by the necessary assistance of these biological catalysts. Digestion is simply the process of using these biological catalysts to breakdown our food into usable energy and nutrients thus creating by-products such as methane gas, CO2, solid organic material and water.

The Pancreas

The main digestive gland in the body. Many of these catalysts are secreted by this gland. Since these catalysts are designed to function with a particular molecular structure, they cannot work effectively with cooked, microwaved or irradiated food because the molecular structure is re-arranged as an effect of these treatments.

The Right Stuff

These critical catalysts may be the single most important support for a healthy body. The destruction of these biological catalysts in cooking and processing our food is perhaps responsible for the increase in chronic and degenerative diseases in both humans and animals. Leukocytosis is a harmful condition that results from eating cooked food. This affliction increases the blood's white cell count as a response to the lack of these catalysts in the cooked food. This puts significant stress on the pancreas and contributes to a host of blood sugar and chronic degenerative diseases.

Biological Intelligence

Enzymes build, orchestrate and unify life. They know what to do and when, providing our cells with sufficient energy and nutrients to function well. The best supply of them is raw, organic food, especially vegetables and moderate consumption of fresh fruit.

Where do they come from?

Some of these catalysts are manufactured in the body. However the total number available seems to be finite and over-drawing this account depletes the numbers available in later life. Therefore, supplements combined with eating raw, unprocessed, organic food is the key to effective use and availability of these critical catalysts. Respect enzymes!
